I think a character should only get 2 shots at a title as challenger...then should move on. Also I dont think someone should get a shot at the heavyweight title then a few weeks later get a shot at another title. If a character holds onto the title for a while then loses it...he should be entitled to a couple of challenges. eg adam smasher...he had the title for a long while he should get a few chances to get it back.

I've got a house rule in OWP which allows a champion who loses his title to get one automatic re-match (his "re-match clause"), which is scheduled on the next card following the card he lost the title. If he failed to re-capture the title, he has to wait 2 months before making another challenge for the title. A title contender could make as many challenges for a title as he wants up to, and including, the last scheduled card of the month (whether it was a house show, a television taping, or a pay-per-view). However, if he's unsuccessful at winning the title, then he too would have to wait 2 months before making another challenge. I thought about implementing something like that in PFW, but I don't know how everyone would react to that kind of rule. What do you think?

Yeah, as long as the rule is the same for everyone with no exceptions, then I'd say go for it

It does sound fair, but maybe not in the inviroment we have where my belt is defended every card. If we cut down on the title matches then it might work out better.

I agree. i dont think the title should be defended every fight card. maybe put the champ in a "special" match. like a tag match or 3 way dance......

I think once or twice a month, and that includes any PPV Major Cards that are scheduled. That should be enough defenses.

Yes, once or maybe twice a month sounds perfect. More time to do promos with my belt LOL. Seriously, at least once a month with a little build up between the champ (most likely me) and the challenger would be cool.

TV Taping/House Show Loss - 10
- Pay-Per-View Victory - 40
Pay-Per-View Loss - 20
II. Titles Available in PFW A. PFW Heavyweight Title - Defended at least once per month
- Characters ranked #1 to #5 shall be considered eligible to challenge for the PFW Heavyweight title.
- New Fans Earned for Winning and Defending PFW-H Title
Winning the title for the first time
1. TV Taping/House Show - 250 New Fans Earned 2. Pay-Per-View Show - 500 New Fans Earned

1. TV Taping/House Show - 125 New Fans Earned 2. Pay-Per-View Show - 250 New Fans Earned
B. PFW United States Heavyweight Title. - Defended at least twice per month
- Characters ranked #6 to #10 shall be considered eligible to challenge for the PFW United States Heavweight title.
- New Fans Earned for Winning and Defending PFW-US Title
Winning the title for the first time
1. TV Taping/House Show - 125 New Fans Earned 2. Pay-Per-View Show - 250 New Fans Earned
Successful Title Defense/Subsequent Title Wins

C. PFW Hardcore Title - Defended every week (tentatively)

1. TV Taping/House Show - 50 New Fans Earned 2. Pay-Per-View Show - 100 New Fans Earned
D. PFW Tag Team Title - Defended at least once per month
- Open only to those legally-recognized teams in PFW
- New Fans Earned for Winning and Defending PFW-TT Title
Winning the title for the first time
1. TV Taping/House Show - 200 New Fans Earned 2. Pay-Per-View Show - 400 New Fans Earned
Successful Title Defense/Subsequent Title Wins
1. TV Taping/House Show - 100 New Fans Earned 2. Pay-Per-View Show - 200 New Fans Earned
III. New Fans Earned for Champions Competing in Non-Title Matches If a champion competes in a non-title match, he will be credited with New Fans Earned for defending his/their title(s). IV. Title Re-Matches - (Taken almost verbatim from the Orion Wrestling Promotions Expansion Rules)
- "His" also refers to tag teams who lose their title in a tag team title match.
- Any champion in PFW who loses his title will receive one automatic re-match (think of it as having the former champion exercising the "re-match clause" in his title match contract), to be scheduled the week following his title loss. If he fails to re-capture the title, he shall be required to wait 2 months before he will be allowed to make another challenge for the title.
If the former champion wins his title re-match via disqualification or count-out, he shall receive one final re-match on the following week, to be contested under Texas Death Match rules. If he fails to re-capture the title in the "Sudden Death" match, he shall be required to wait 2 months before he will be allowed to make another challenge for the title.
If the former champion succeeds in re-capturing the title, then the champion who lost the title back to the former champion shall be required to wait 2 months before he can "exercise his re-match clause".
These stipulations are implemented in order for other eligible contenders to have a fair shot at winning the title.
V. Title Opportunities for Eligible Contenders - (Taken almost verbatim from the Orion Wrestling Promotions Expansion Rules)
- Any eligible contender may challenge for the title that he is eligible for a maximum of two times within any 4-week period. If he fails to capture the title after the second attempt, he shall be required to wait 2 months before he will be allowed to make another challenge for the title, in order for other eligible contenders to have a fair shot at winning the title.
VI. Special Matches Available to PFW - Barbed Wire Cage Match
- Battle Royal
- Brass Knuckles Match
- Steel Cage Match
- Chain Match
- Coffin Match
- Dog Collar Match
- Falls Count Anywhere Match
- Finisher Match
- First Blood Match
- Ladder Match
- Last Man Standing Match
- Loser Leaves Town Match
- Lumberjack Match
- Singapore Cane Match
- Table Match
- Tag Team Elimination Match
- Texas Death Match
- Hardcore Texas Death Match
- Tirion Triple Threat Match
- Hardcore Match (created by Cynthia Celeste Miller - used for Hardcore Division matches. I've also found some charts for Hardcore Into the Ropes, Into the Turnbuckle, and Hardcore Deathjump which will be used in this match as well.)
(As more LWF-compatible special matches are found, they will be added to this list.)
